Wrestling with Doubt
Doubt is not the enemy of faith—it’s often the path to deeper belief. I know because I’ve wrestled with it myself. If you’ve ever asked, “Am I really a Christian?” or “Does prayer actually work?”—you’re not alone. Faith isn’t about feelings; it’s about knowing what you believe.

Two Types of Doubt
(1) Skeptical, Cynical Doubt: The Pharisees in Jesus’ time demanded a sign, even after witnessing miracles (Mark 8:11-12). Their doubt wasn’t sincere—it was a refusal to believe despite the evidence.
(2) Honest, Seeking Doubt: The father in Mark 9:20-27 pleaded, “Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief.” Jesus honored his honesty and healed his son. If you have doubts, bring them to God—He can handle them.

Steps to Strengthen Your Faith
(1) Dive into God’s Word: Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. If your faith feels weak, saturate yourself in Scripture.
(2) Explore Apologetics: Faith isn’t blind—it’s rooted in historical, scientific, and archaeological evidence. Books like “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel and “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist”  by Frank Turek provide solid answers.
(3) Feed Your Faith, Starve Your Doubts: 2 Corinthians 10:5 urges us to take thoughts captive and align them with Christ. Choose to meditate on truth, not uncertainties.
(4) Use the Faith You Have Faith is like a muscle—it grows when exercised: Peter walked on water (Matthew 14:31) because he stepped out. Engage in acts of faith, no matter how small.
(5) Make a Choice: “I Will Believe” by C.S. Lewis said, “Faith is coming to the edge of all the light you have… and taking one more step.” Hebrews 11:1 reminds us: faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.

A Faith Worth Dying For
Polycarp, a 2nd-century bishop, faced execution for his faith. When told to deny Christ, he declared, “Eighty-six years I have served Him, and He has never wronged me. How can I blaspheme my King?” His faith wasn’t based on emotion—it was rooted in truth.

Final Thought
Doubt is part of the journey, but don’t stay there. Seek answers. Step out. Choose faith. Because in the end, God always comes through—right on time.
